Charlie Ravanelli, 8, of Mequon, looks closely at a Monarch butterfly which was placed on his nose by environmental educator Jayne Henderson at the Riveredge Nature Center in Newburg on Saturday, August 22, 2009. He was a participant in a nature center activity to capture, tag and release the butterflies, which migrate each year to Mexico. Charlie had captured the butterfly, and Henderson placed the tag on the butterflies wing. The insect flew off from Charlie's nose moments later. Ernie Mastroianni photo.
